Smudge Wand
Each herb is gathered with care - either grown in my garden or respectfully wild-foraged from the land. I harvest with intention, honoring the seasons and the spirit of each plant, then thoughtfully blend them to create something truly purposeful, rooted in nature and made with deep presence.
Smudging; a sacred ritual of purification and cleansing of the physical and spiritual bodies. We are each responsible for our own healing and creating environments that support our well-being so let's partner with mother nature and create harmony around us. The Smoke attaches itself to negative energy and as the smoke dissipates, the negative energy goes with it. It is important to open a door or window before smudging so the negative energy has a way out.
Lavender: Attracts positive energy and opens the heart chakra. Sets the intention for a
peaceful, grounded energy before starting any project inducing a state of calmness. It aids in releasing fear while calming the mind, helping to protect the spirit.
Rose: Attracts self love and love of all kinds; creating luck and inviting in a space of healing.
Yarrow: An oracle herb which protects from negative energy, induces lucid dreaming, encourages serenity and helps in the acquisition of wisdom and confidence. Cedar: Used for blessing a new venture or dwelling, and inviting in an abundance of sacred energy, guarding against evil spirits and illnesses.
Cedar: Deeply grounding and a protective plant used in smudging to cleanse both space and spirit. Its rich, earthy smoke is believed to carry away negative energy while inviting in strength, balance, and a sense of calm. Connected to ancient wisdom and the energy of the forest, cedar helps create a safe, rooted environment for healing and intention-setting.
Instructions
Light the smudge bundle using your match or candle, and let it burn for about 15 seconds. After that, gently blow out the flame. Light a couple pieces at a time to create the healing smoke if you wish. Place in a fireproof bowl allowing it to smoulder. This will produce plenty of smoke to cleanse the air.
After smudging, extinguish it and save for next time. You can break off pieces to burn safely in a bowl. Always be safe.
