    RITUAL INSTRUCTIONS

    • You can have a Yoni steam once or twice per month or if still menstruating; a few days after you finish menstruating.

    • Prepare your herbs; Put one cup of your herbs into a Yoni bowl. Boil water and pour over the herbs, letting it steep for a while, until the steam is not too hot (we don’t want you burning yourself!). Allow some time, 5-6 minutes, for the herbs to steep into a “tea” and for the steam to cool down. Wave your hand 8 inches over the herbal water to make sure it is not too hot.

    • Prepare your space as this may activate an emotional release. Get comfortable, positioning yourself above the steaming herbs using a glass bowl to hold the steaming herbs, placing the bowl on the floor or using it in our Yoni Throne. Wrap your lower half in a blanket or towel, so the steam does not escape. Bathe your yoni in this healing steam for 10-20 minutes, and allow the herbs to work their magic. I recommend making this into a sacred ritual.

    • Light some candles or smudge your space. This is dedicated, healing, self-care time for you. Depending on your cycle, you can do this on the full or new moon, to make it extra special. This allows us to enter a soothing space and feel the divine feminine power throughout the yoni steam.

    • Use this time to relax and center yourself through reading, meditating or listening to soft music. You can also save some of the tea before using it for your yoni steam and sip on after your bath. It has synergistic benefits when taken orally.

    • Always ensure your seat is cleaned thoroughly before and after use.

    • Conclude your ritual by returning the herbs to Mother Nature with appreciation for facilitating your healing.

If you have any health concerns or questions about yoni steaming, consult a healthcare professional.


    There are a few potential side effects of yoni steaming to be aware of before you try it. For example, some people experience cervical fluid or discharge after yoni steam. Some discharge is absolutely normal and nothing to be concerned about. The yoni steam is simply allowing the vagina to release dead cells and bacteria.


    This treatment is not advisable for individuals experiencing menstruation, vaginal infections, open wounds, herpes breakouts, active sores, or blisters. Those with genital piercings should remove them before undergoing the steam treatment. Furthermore, it is not suitable for individuals with an IUD. While often considered a holistic practice, it's important to consult a doctor before engaging in yoni steaming, particularly if you have any medical conditions. Try to Urinate before steaming. Test steam before sitting down. Do not get burnt!
